Rodríguez, Vergara & Cía. was founded in 1990 under the leadership of Pablo Rodríguez Grez, who for decades served as managing partner and the Firm’s foremost figure, instilling a hallmark of excellence, integrity, and commitment to clients. Together with Pedro Pablo Vergara Varas, he built a team of extensive experience with a particular focus on civil and commercial litigation. The subsequent addition of attorneys Hugo Rosende Álvarez and Fernando Rabat Celis further cemented the Firm’s reputation for distinguished litigators. Today, the partners’ work is complemented by a new generation of attorneys who bring contemporary perspectives on the law and contribute to the continuity of the legal project that has defined the Firm for over three decades.
In 2024, the law firm Subercaseaux & Hellmich Abogados joined the professional community housed under the same roof as our firm.
The Firm’s history has also been marked by significant personal and professional milestones.
In January 2024, Hugo Rosende Álvarez passed away, remembered for his distinguished career and exceptional human qualities.
In December 2025, the Firm’s founder, Pablo Rodríguez Grez, passed away, whose legacy continues to inspire the Firm’s legal endeavors.
Additionally, Pedro Pablo Vergara Varas was appointed President of the Chilean Bar Association for the 2024–2025 term, a reflection of his peers’ recognition of his professional career and contribution to the development of the legal profession.
On March 11, 2026, Fernando Rabat Celis assumed office as Minister of Justice and Human Rights, an important recognition of his distinguished career and dedication to his work.
